Korea Student Aid Foundation to Recruit 1,006 Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholars... 1 Million to 5 Million KRW per Person Provided

The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byung-il) will recruit new scholarship recipients for the 2025 first semester Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship from 9 a.m. on the 27th until 6 p.m. on January 20 next year.

The "Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship" is a scholarship funded by donations from individuals and corporations, providing tuition and living expenses support to outstanding low-income university students in various fields.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Korea Student Aid Foundation has supported approximately 26,000 university students with 42.2 billion KRW in Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarships.

For the 2025 first semester, the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship plans to select 1,006 new scholarship recipients and provide living expense scholarships ranging from 1 million KRW to 5 million KRW per person.

The Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship has different eligibility and evaluation criteria depending on each donation scholarship project. This semester, a total of 17 new scholarship projects will select recipients, and the types of projects are as follows.

Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association, Dunamu UDC, Blizzard Entertainment, AliExpress, Umi Hope Foundation (Type 1), Umi Hope Foundation (Type 2), Yoo Ji-woong, Jung In-wook Academic Scholarship Foundation, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, Korea Investment Corporation (Type 1), Korea Investment Corporation (Type 2), Home&Shopping (Type 1), Home&Shopping (Type 2), KDB Nanum Foundation, KOSAF Donation Fund (Type 2), and Kiwoom Securities.

Since applicants can only apply for one project per semester under the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship, it is recommended to compare the evaluation criteria of each project in advance and apply for the project that best suits the applicant.

The Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship can be applied for 24 hours a day through the Korea Student Aid Foundation website and mobile app, except on the start and end dates of the application period.

The results of the scholarship recipient selection will be announced in mid-April next year after the semester begins and can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website.

All new selections for the 2025 first semester Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship are living expense scholarships and can be received concurrently with other scholarships besides the Blue Lighthouse Scholarship.
