Jindo County Achieves Record Number of Awards in 2024

Last year, awards were given in 37 fields... This year, 49 institutions receive commendations

Jindo County in Jeonnam (Governor Kim Heesu) has broken its own record for the most awards received, earning a total of 49 institutional commendations this year, following 37 awards in various fields last year.

According to the county on the 27th, this is a remarkable achievement compared to the average of 21 awards per year received from 2015 to 2022. Major awards include the Dasan Mokmin Grand Prize, the top institution in the Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation, the Excellence Award in the Economic Sector of the Local Government Productivity Awards (ranked first nationwide), the Excellent Institution in the Local Government Innovation Evaluation, the Grand Prize in the Jeollanam-do Local Tax Administration Comprehensive Evaluation, and the Grand Prize in the Jeollanam-do Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation.

In addition, Jindo County achieved Grade 2 in the Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation for two consecutive years (2023-2024), and was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years in the Eco-friendly Agriculture Grand Prize Evaluation, Animal Quarantine and Hygiene Policy Evaluation, Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force Activity Evaluation, Gender Equality Policy Promotion Evaluation, and Carbon Neutral Tree Planting Evaluation.

These achievements are attributed to Jindo County’s administration in cooperation with its residents, which has improved the quality of public services and produced outstanding results in various fields.

Governor Kim Heesu stated, "All these achievements are thanks to the support and cooperation of our residents," adding, "We will continue to strive to make Jindo a better place to live, where residents are the true owners, by focusing on five major innovations: prosperous industry for all, welfare for everyone's happiness, education that nurtures talent, tourism that attracts and retains visitors, and administration that serves the residents."
