Namyangju City Encourages Top Performers and Friendly Officials in Comprehensive Civil Complaint Handling Evaluation

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held an award ceremony on the 27th at the City Hall Yeoyudang to commend 24 employees selected as ‘2024 Outstanding Civil Complaint Handlers and Friendly Public Officials,’ presenting them with certificates of commendation and prizes to encourage their hard work throughout the year.

The awardees were selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of data from the past year, including the National Civil Petition Portal, statutory complaints, and the Civil Complaint Call Center, assessing △number of complaints handled △compliance with deadlines △reduction rates △and satisfaction levels.


In the department evaluation, the main office categories recognized were △Grand Prize: Automobile Management Division △Excellence: Senior Welfare Division △Encouragement: Resource Circulation Division; and in the town and township categories, △Grand Prize: Byeollae-myeon △Excellence: Dasan 1-dong Urban Architecture Division △Encouragement: Byeollae-dong Urban Architecture Division were selected. These departments will receive separate awards at the year-end ceremony scheduled for the 31st.


In the individual evaluation, the main office awardees included △Lee Yong-min, Administrative Officer of the Management Operations Division △Yang Jun-ho, Administrative Officer of the Automobile Management Division △Yoo Young-min, Administrative Officer of the Sewage Treatment Division; and in the town and township category, △Cheon Seong-woo, Administrative Officer of Jinjeop-eup Urban Architecture Division △Gwak Geon-ho, Administrative Officer of Wabu-eup Urban Architecture Division △Kim Heon-moo, Administrative Officer of Hopyeong-dong Urban Architecture Division were selected. These outstanding employees will receive commendations along with personnel evaluation points.


Following this, awards were also presented for outstanding civil complaint handlers and friendly public officials in various fields for the second half of this year.


In the National Civil Petition Portal complaint handling category, △Ryu Kwang-hee, Administrative Officer of the Parking Management Division △Jung Joo-hwan, Administrative Officer of Dasan 1-dong Welfare Support Division △Lee Jin-hyung, Administrative Officer of Hwado-eup Urban Architecture Division were recognized, and in the satisfaction category, △Son Young-jun, Administrative Officer of the Forest and Greenery Division △Eom Tae-min, Administrative Officer of the Road Management Division △Kim Hye-rim, Administrative Officer of the Health Policy Division were selected as outstanding public officials.


Additionally, in the statutory complaint category, △Kim Jin, Administrative Officer of Byeollae-dong Welfare Support Division △Son Hwa-ryeong, Administrative Officer of Dasan 1-dong Welfare Support Division △Ahn Soo-bin, Administrative Officer of the Childcare Policy Division were awarded, and in the grievance (ping-pong) complaint category, △Lee Chang-woo, Administrative Officer of the Urban Regeneration Division △Kim Na-ra, Administrative Officer of the Park Management Division △Bae Joon-sung, Administrative Officer of Hwado-eup Urban Architecture Division received awards.


Employees selected as outstanding civil complaint handlers were given Namyangju Sarang gift certificates as incentives.


The city selected friendly public officials by dividing recommendations from citizens and departments into administrative and technical job categories.


Citizen recommendations included △Yoon Tae-jun, Administrative Officer of Jinjeop-eup Urban Architecture Division △Baek Seung-gyu, Team Leader of the Citizen Market Office △Go Min-jeong, Administrative Officer of the Urban Regeneration Division △Koo Se-in, Administrative Officer of the Health Policy Division at Pungyang Health Center; department recommendations included △Kwon Hyuk-no, Administrative Officer of the Management Operations Division △Kim Nam-yoon, Administrative Officer of the River Park Management Division as friendly public officials.


Employees selected as friendly public officials received certificates of commendation, Namyangju Sarang gift certificates, and one day of special leave as prizes.


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok expressed, “I thank the public officials who, despite difficult circumstances, communicated swiftly and kindly with citizens with an open heart while handling civil complaints,” and emphasized, “As Jeong Yak-yong said, ‘Every beginning is great.’ If we gather wisdom and focus at the civil complaint sites, this will become a great foundation for the development of Namyangju.”
