Incheon Yeonsu-gu to Provide 500,000 KRW Postpartum Care Support Regardless of Income Starting Next Year

Yeonsu-gu, Incheon announced on the 27th that starting next year, it will provide 500,000 KRW in postpartum care expenses to all families with newborns regardless of income level.

The support target is families who give birth on or after January 1st of next year, who must have been registered residents of Yeonsu-gu and actually residing there for at least three months prior to the birth date. However, this support cannot be received in duplicate with similar programs such as Incheon City's postpartum care expense support for vulnerable groups.

Applicants must visit the administrative welfare center within 60 days from the birth date and submit a postpartum care expense application form along with the birth report. After verification, 500,000 KRW will be paid within about two weeks in local currency (Yeonsu e-eum). The support funds can only be used at local currency affiliated stores related to postpartum care such as postpartum care centers, hospitals, and pharmacies.

We will continue to do our best to create a child-friendly city where it is good to give birth and raise children."

Meanwhile, currently in Incheon, Ongjin-gun supports postpartum care expenses of 1,000,000 KRW per mother, and starting next year, Dong-gu is also expected to provide support at a similar level.
