The city has been conducting the ‘Hope Sharing Campaign’ since the unveiling ceremony of the Love Temperature Tower on the 9th. The campaign runs for 62 days from December 2024 to January 31, 2025, with a target amount of 1.1 billion KRW. Cash donations can be made via bank transfer to the Community Chest of Korea account or through a QR code, and in-kind donations can be made through the Welfare Policy Division of Paju City Hall and 20 township and neighborhood offices.

On the 20th, a Paju Love Hope Sharing fundraising broadcast was held at the Citizens’ Hall Grand Theater. About 200 people, including citizens, key figures, business leaders, and heads of institutions and organizations, attended the event, where on-site fundraising and donor interviews took place.

Additionally, the city operates the Welfare Knock Day to identify vulnerable households living in one-room apartments, containers, and other poor housing conditions to provide daily necessities and welfare counseling. Through the Paju Hope Plus Care Project, it offers home care, diabetic and therapeutic meals, housing environment improvements, safety care, and visiting medical services to low-income elderly patients aged 60 and over who have mobility difficulties after hospital discharge.

Furthermore, in connection with the Community Chest of Korea’s ‘Warm Winter Support Project,’ heating expenses of 100,000 KRW each were provided by the 20th to 200 energy-vulnerable households during the winter season.

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, “Through this Warm Winter Support Project, we will spread a culture of sharing, strengthen connections with private resources, eliminate welfare blind spots, and promote the stability of vulnerable groups’ lives.”

Meanwhile, as part of its comprehensive winter welfare measures, Paju City plans to implement 19 detailed measures in five areas from December 2024 to March 2025, including ▲operation of the comprehensive winter welfare support team ▲discovery of welfare blind spots and support for vulnerable groups ▲strengthening protection and care for single-person households, homeless people, and vulnerable elderly ▲prevention of winter safety accidents in welfare facilities ▲spreading a culture of sharing and strengthening linkage with private resources.
