Academic Efforts to Prevent Safety Accidents in Small and Medium Enterprises in Busan Receive Praise
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 27th that Dr. Cheon Sang-eun, a PhD graduate from the Department of Business Administration, and Professor Park Hee-tae received the Best Paper Award at the ‘2024 Korean Leadership Association Fall Academic Conference.’
The 2024 Korean Leadership Association Fall Academic Conference, themed ‘Leadership Needed in This Era,’ was held on the 21st at Soongsil University. At the event, one Best Paper Award and two Excellence Paper Awards were selected and presented from among 18 papers published in the ‘Leadership Studies’ journal (registered with the Korea Research Foundation), which is published by the Korean Leadership Association, continuing from last year.
The paper awarded to Dr. Cheon Sang-eun and Professor Park Hee-tae is titled ‘A Study on the Development of Safety Leadership Measurement Tools for Small and Medium Enterprises: Focusing on SMEs in the Busan Area,’ and their academic efforts to prevent safety accidents in small and medium enterprises in the Busan region were highly evaluated.
Dr. Cheon Sang-eun, who is also the CEO of the Korea Academic Research Institute, a government-certified academic research institution, said, “I believe this award was possible thanks to the continuous guidance and encouragement from my advisor, which allowed me to conduct meaningful research,” adding, “I hope this award serves as a small contribution to the field of leadership, and I will continue to conduct deeper research in this area with my advisor and achieve further results.”
Professor Park Hee-tae said, “It is an honor to receive the Best Paper Award from a journal that publishes papers by leading authorities in the domestic leadership field,” and added, “I will devote myself even more to nurturing future scholars and conducting research that benefits the local community.”
