[Featured Stock] The Day After Squid Game 2 Release... Artist United Plummets

The stock price of Artist United, where Lee Jung-jae, the lead actor of the Netflix series 'Squid Game,' is the largest shareholder, plummeted on the 27th. Although 'Squid Game Season 2' was unveiled worldwide amid great anticipation the day before, foreign media outlets have been pouring out cold evaluations.


As of 10:34 AM on the 27th, Artist United recorded 13,000 KRW, down 5,560 KRW (29.95%) from the previous trading day. Artist United is the company where Lee Jung-jae, the lead actor of the Squid Game series, is the largest shareholder. Artist Studio, which is scheduled to merge with this company, traded at 15,750 KRW, down 6,700 KRW (29.84%).


Regarding 'Squid Game 2,' which was released the day before, on the 26th (local time), major foreign media generally evaluated it as "worse than the first season." The New York Times (NYT) said, "It shows more stylish killings, but the story is stagnant," and evaluated that "while continuing the story of (Season 1), it does not make much effort to expand it."
