To welcome the new year, the event is set at Inwangsan Cheongun Park, where attendees can enjoy the sunrise marking the start of the year while wishing for the health and happiness of their families and neighbors.
The event, running from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, consists of various celebratory performances and resident participation programs. It will be held in two parts: Part 1, the "Sunrise Ceremony," and Part 2, the "Daegogak Drum Beating." Celebratory performances include a pungmul troupe parade to open the festival, an exciting Nanta performance to energize participants, and an elegant classical music stage. Additionally, there will be activities such as hanging wish tags with New Year's hopes, writing family mottos, and a photo zone experience to create special memories.
Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, "After a tumultuous 2024, I hope everyone will welcome the first day of the new year at Inwangsan with their beloved family and neighbors, creating unforgettable memories." He added, "In 2025, we will continue to communicate steadily with residents and relentlessly pursue excellent policies and projects that can be felt in everyday life."
