Attorney Bae Boyoon Joins Yoon's Legal Team, Public Relations Handled by Former Prosecutor General Yoon Gapgeun

On the 27th, President Yoon Seok-yeol's side will attend the first hearing of the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial with a legal team including lawyer Bae Bo-yoon. Former Daegu High Prosecutors' Office Chief Prosecutor Yoon Gap-geun will be in charge of public relations related to the impeachment trial for the president's side.
According to the legal community on the 27th, President Yoon's side stated, "Lawyer Bae and other representatives of President Yoon will submit their power of attorney to the Constitutional Court and attend the impeachment trial preparation hearing at 2 p.m."
With President Yoon having virtually completed the formation of his legal team, it is expected that he will actively respond to the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial preparation hearing scheduled for today. President Yoon's side is reportedly organizing their stance in preparation for the impeachment trial and the prosecution's summons investigation along with the legal team.
Lawyer Bae Bo-yoon was appointed as a constitutional researcher at the Constitutional Court in 1994 and served as the Secretary to the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Director of Planning and Coordination, and later as the Head Research Professor (Constitutional Researcher) at the Constitutional Court Research Institute. Notably, he served as the spokesperson for the Constitutional Court during former President Park Geun-hye's impeachment trial, acting as the "voice of the Constitutional Court."
Former Chief Prosecutor Yoon Gap-geun, who is in charge of public relations and is a former special prosecutor, is also from the Chungcheong region and is known to have a close relationship with President Yoon. Former Chief Prosecutor Yoon started as a violent crime prosecutor and consecutively served for two years as the head of the Special 2nd Division of the Central District Prosecutors' Office and then as the 3rd Deputy Prosecutor in charge of the Special Division, making him a representative "violent crime and special prosecutor."
President Yoon, who did not comply with the second summons from the joint investigation team yesterday (the 25th), is expected to break his silence and begin full-scale legal action starting with the first hearing at the Constitutional Court at 2 p.m. today.
