According to foreign media including Qatar's Al Jazeera on the 26th (local time), the vehicle of the local broadcasting media Al-Quds Today, which was outside Al-Awada Hospital in the central Nuseirat refugee camp, was bombed by the Israeli military the previous night.
Five journalists affiliated with the media outlet?Fadi Hasuna, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali, Muhammad Al-Ada, Faisal Abu Alqumsan, and Ayman Al-Jadi?were killed in the attack.
Al-Quds Today stated in a press release that they "died while performing their journalistic and humanitarian duties." Local witnesses reported that a missile fired by an Israeli military fighter jet hit the broadcasting vehicle parked outside Al-Awada Hospital, causing it to catch fire and killing those inside.
The Israeli military claimed in a statement that they "precisely struck a vehicle carrying members of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Nuseirat area" and asserted that "various measures were taken prior to the attack to minimize civilian casualties."
According to the non-profit organization Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), since the outbreak of the Gaza Strip war triggered by a surprise attack by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas on October 7 last year, at least 141 journalists have been killed in Israeli military attacks.
