James Kim, Chairman and CEO of AMCHAM, first expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Han and the leadership of our government, saying, "We appreciate your dedicated efforts for Korea during these uncertain and challenging times." He then conveyed that AMCHAM is continuously striving to separate business from politics and emphasized the importance of business continuity. He also expressed strong confidence in the resilience of our economy and its global competitiveness.

Chairman Kim stated, "To dispel concerns about the current political situation, AMCHAM has been actively communicating with the global community and foreign media to highlight Korea's long-term investment attractiveness and its important role as a strategic industrial partner in the global supply chain." He added, "AMCHAM is emphasizing the importance of economic stimulus measures to maintain financial market stability and strengthen growth engines in cooperation with both central and local governments."

He also emphasized, "The Korea-US alliance remains the cornerstone of global economic security," and said, "Considering the upcoming inauguration of the second Trump administration in the US and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to be held in Korea next year, it is essential to maintain a predictable and stable regulatory environment."

Prime Minister Han responded, "The Republic of Korea is founded on the rule of law and democracy, sharing common values with allied countries, including the United States, with whom we have maintained a strong alliance for over 70 years. This alliance has been the cornerstone of security and prosperity not only on the Korean Peninsula but also in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide." He added, "We will continue to do our best to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as economic development, advanced industries, defense, and nuclear energy."

He continued, "The Korean government actively supports American companies in Korea, pledging to ensure a stable and prosperous future and to further solidify the ongoing alliance between the two countries," and said, "Together, we will overcome challenging tasks and create a future driven by shared growth and innovation."
