SK Comms, F&U Credit Information, and SK M&Service Sale
"Focus on Telecommunications and AI and Enhance Portfolio Efficiency"
SK Telecom will sell three subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries, including SK Communications, to focus on its telecommunications and artificial intelligence (AI) businesses.
On the 26th, SK Telecom announced that it will sell some or all of its shares in SK Communications, F&U Credit Information, and SK M&S Service to Samgu I&C. The sale price has not been disclosed.
SK Communications is an SKT subsidiary that operates the portal site Nate, messenger NateOn, and camera app Cymera, while F&U Credit Information is SKT's debt collection subsidiary.
The sub-subsidiary SK M&S Service operates the corporate welfare platform Benefia.
An SKT official stated, "To focus on telecommunications and AI businesses and improve the efficiency of our business portfolio, we have decided to sell three non-core affiliates," adding, "We plan to continue business cooperation with the three companies even after the sale."
