According to the Seoul Football Association on the 26th, Jeong received 47 votes out of 64 electors in the election held on the 23rd at Hyochang Stadium, defeating candidates Lee Min-geol (9 votes) and Seok Jin-ho (8 votes) to become the new head of the Seoul Football Association.
The newly appointed president Jeong previously served as the chairman of the Daesin High School football team support committee, president of the Seocho-gu Football Association, and vice president of the Seoul Football Association. He is currently serving as a director at Dongbang Data Technology.
