The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced on the 26th that it has distributed 20 short-term learning educational materials (microlearning content) under the theme of ‘Tips for New Teachers.’
The Office of Education created materials covering eight areas including teaching and learning, student life education, and career guidance to minimize the difficulties new teachers face in the educational field and to support better educational activities.
The main contents include ▲Perfect guide for preparing the new semester ▲No escape from tablet classes ▲Winning formula for classroom management found through failure ▲School violence prevention and response tips ▲Quick learning for new teachers: ‘Hi-Learning’ ▲Easy budget usage tips ▲‘Alssulsinjap’ for new teachers’ parent consultations, among a total of 20 episodes.
The materials are provided in a short-term learning (microlearning) format, allowing them to be reviewed in a short time. It is expected that new teachers will be able to confidently engage in educational activities by utilizing this useful information.
The Office of Education has made the materials available not only for new teachers but also for all teachers to use for competency enhancement. Detailed information can be found on the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education’s YouTube channel (GO3).
Lee Jeong-hyun, Director of the Educational Competency Policy Division at the Office of Education, said, “We plan to continuously provide various short-term learning educational materials to improve the quality of education,” adding, “We will support new teachers by offering practical help for various situations they may face and boosting their confidence in the field to enable effective educational activities.”
