People Power Party Standing National Committee Approves Appointment of Kwon Young-se as Emergency Committee Chairman

Passed with 95.56% Approval
Finalized through the National Committee on the 30th

On the 26th, the People Power Party held a Standing National Committee meeting and approved the appointment of Assemblyman Kwon Young-se as the Emergency Response Committee Chairman.


The agenda was approved as originally proposed with 43 votes in favor out of 45 total voters. The voter turnout was 67.16%, and the approval rate was 95.56%. The vote was conducted remotely through an ARS automated response voting system.

Kwon Seong-dong, Acting Party Leader and Floor Leader, endorsed Assemblyman Kwon Young-se as the Emergency Response Committee Chairman on the 24th.


At the assembly of lawmakers, Floor Leader Kwon introduced Assemblyman Kwon as the candidate for the Emergency Response Committee Chairman, stating, "The new emergency committee must take on the important tasks of national stability, party unity, and change," and added, "More than ever, abundant experience and immediately deployable capabilities are needed."


The People Power Party plans to hold a National Committee meeting on the 30th to finalize the appointment of the Emergency Response Committee Chairman. Following this, the newly appointed Chairman Kwon Young-se will form the emergency committee, officially launching the committee.
