On the 26th, the Seosan City Council in Chungnam held its December policy meeting at the council members' office and discussed 18 agenda items.


During the policy meeting, a total of 18 agenda items were discussed in advance, including 8 items explained by the executive branch and 10 items proposed by council members.


The council listened to explanations from the executive branch on four matters: the plan to apply for selection as a local government for the establishment of a demonstration facility for the integrated production technology development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), the plan to register with the Asia Cruise Council (ACC) (both from the Future Strategy Office), and the agreement for strengthening financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in Chungcheongnam-do (from the Employment and Economy Division).


Additionally, the council heard explanations from the executive branch on four more matters: the ordinance for supporting bathing and hairdressing expenses for low-income seniors in Seosan (Senior and Disabled Welfare Division), the plan to create creative and rehearsal spaces between Naepo and Seosan, the plan to relocate the Seosan Culture Center in connection with the construction of the new city hall (both from the Culture and Arts Division), the ordinance for ensuring transparency in public transportation financial support in Seosan (Transportation Division), and the partial amendment of the ordinance on the collection of medical fees and charges at the Seosan Public Health Center (Public Health Administration Division).


As for the agenda items proposed by council members, a total of 8 ordinance amendments and 2 proposals were included, such as the partial amendment ordinance for the designation of alley commercial districts in Seosan (proposed by Councilor Ga Sun-sook), the ordinance on promoting resource circulation of livestock manure in Seosan (proposed by Councilor Kim Maeng-ho), and the ordinance on the conservation and sustainable use of mudflat ecosystems in Seosan (proposed by Councilor Kim Yong-kyung).


Chairman Cho Dongsik said, "Thanks to the passionate legislative activities of my fellow council members this year, we were able to gather a variety of opinions even at the last policy meeting of 2024," and added, "Let us continue to pursue rational development directions for Seosan City through active communication and build a city council that earns the trust of our citizens together."
