Six Final Projects Selected Including Next-Generation Water Purification Technology Through Industry-Academia Contest at Seoul National University
Coway announced on the 26th that it will embark on the development of core source technologies in next-generation water purification and materials fields through industry-academia cooperation with Seoul National University.
Since March, Coway has been conducting an industry-academia contest for water-related technology ideas within Seoul National University. Among the various research project ideas submitted through the contest, a total of 20 projects were selected through the first round of document screening. Subsequently, after the second round of evaluation through research proposals and presentations, as well as consultations with supervising professors, a total of 6 projects were finally adopted. The final selected industry-academia projects include 2 next-generation water purification technology projects, 2 next-generation water purification material technology projects, and 2 pollutant removal mechanism projects.
Going forward, Coway plans to closely collaborate with Seoul National University to implement the 6 projects related to clean water with high industrial value and to achieve results.
A Coway representative stated, “Recently, as environmental pollution and water scarcity issues have emerged worldwide, interest in clean water that can be safely consumed is increasing,” adding, “We expect this industry-academia cooperation with Seoul National University to serve as a catalyst for the development of the water industry.”
