Jeong Jong-bok, Gijang County Governor, Participates in Child Abuse Prevention Relay Campaign

On the 23rd, Jeong Jong-bok, the governor of Gijang-gun, Busan, participated in the child abuse prevention relay campaign.


This child abuse prevention relay campaign is conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency to improve social awareness of child abuse and spread the awareness of positive parenting. It has been ongoing since May, starting with the first vice minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Governor Jeong joined upon the nomination of Choi Jin-bong, the mayor of Jung-gu.


On this day, Governor Jeong held a placard that read "Positive Parenting" to raise awareness about child abuse and to urge the spread of a culture of positive parenting that respects children.


Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, "I will do my best in various educational programs and child abuse prevention activities to ensure that a culture of positive parenting that respects children as they are spreads, creating an environment where children can grow up safely."


Governor Jeong nominated Lee Chang-hoon, the director of the Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center, as the next participant in the child abuse prevention relay campaign.
