Achievements Recognized in Pest Control and Young Farmer Development

The Taean-gun Agricultural Technology Center in Chungnam has been recognized for its contributions to increasing farmers' income and advancing local agriculture through its rural guidance projects.


According to Taean-gun on the 26th, the Taean-gun Agricultural Technology Center was selected as an excellent institution by the Chungnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services at the '2024 Chungnam Rural Development Project Performance Report' held at the Chungnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Yesan-gun on the 24th. The center received high marks for its strategic promotion of rural guidance projects, control of sudden pest outbreaks, and fostering of young farmers through the 4-H program.


This comprehensive evaluation of rural guidance projects was conducted among 15 agricultural technology centers in the province, assessing 29 indicators across 16 categories, including the dissemination of new technologies, activation of rural resources, response to agricultural disasters and pest prevention, and achievements in fostering young farmers.


The Taean-gun Agricultural Technology Center was also recognized as an excellent institution in the agricultural machinery education and training evaluation organized by the Rural Development Administration on the 16th, further demonstrating its continued efforts for local agricultural development and earning strong support from farmers.


Director Lim Miyeong said, "I am pleased that our efforts to improve the quality of life and increase the income of local farmers have been recognized," adding, "We will continue to do our best to come up with practical measures that will truly benefit local farmers."
