Yangsan-si Selects 3 Outstanding Companies for Job Creation This Year

Priority Support for SME Development Funds and Incentives Such as Work Environment Improvement Funds Provided

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam selected three companies?WinWin (CEO Myungja Lee), LS Metal (CEO Ilsu Song), and Taejin System (CEO Youngnam Kim)?as the ‘2024 Excellent Employment Creation Companies.’

The ‘Excellent Employment Creation Company Selection Project’ conducted by Yangsan City aims to discover and support outstanding local companies that have contributed to job creation, encourage private companies to create jobs, spread a job creation culture throughout society, and establish a foundation for sustainable employment growth.

The city received applications in September and comprehensively evaluated factors such as the increase in the number of employees and growth rate over one year (October 2023 to September 2024), the number of newly hired youth, Yangsan citizens, and vulnerable employment groups, additional employment plans, turnover rates, and social contribution activities. From 10 companies, three were selected.

These companies were recognized for hiring an average of about 10 new employees over one year, contributing to job creation activation, and making significant efforts in hiring local residents and vulnerable groups as well as engaging in social contribution activities.

WinWin, a manufacturer of internal combustion engines, received high scores for creating 19 new jobs, while LS Metal, a manufacturer of bolts and nuts for shipbuilding, achieved excellent results in the hiring rate of local youth and residents. Taejin System, a manufacturer of distribution boards and automatic control panels, stood out for its corporate efforts to improve the employment environment and its growth potential.

The selected companies will receive various benefits, including △up to 10 million KRW in funds for improving working conditions △a three-year exemption from local tax audits △priority support for small and medium enterprise development funds with an additional 1% interest subsidy △additional employment support funds for Yangsan youth and middle-aged workers, with the certification valid for three years from the selection date.

The certificate and plaque awarding ceremony for the companies selected as Excellent Employment Creation Companies will be held at Yangsan City’s year-end ceremony in December.

A Yangsan City official stated, “Employment creation goes beyond mere numbers; it serves as the foundation for community growth and residents’ better future,” adding, “The city will continue to discover and support companies that contribute to regional economic development through quality job creation so they can grow and develop further.”
