Yeongdeok-gun Education Development Committee Holds Second Half Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony

The Yeongdeok-gun Education Development Committee Foundation held the 2024 second half scholarship certificate awarding ceremony at Yeongdeok-gun Office on the 24th.

The scholarship program is a key project among various educational support initiatives promoted by the committee. Scholarships are awarded to students twice a year, in the first and second halves, and support is provided in various fields including outstanding new high school students, excellent academic performance of current high school students, principal recommendations, arts and physical education, university admission, excellent CSAT scores, incentives for attracting outstanding new high school students, and support funds for schools involved in recruitment activities.

In June, the committee awarded approximately 229 million KRW in scholarships to 37 high school students, 83 university students, and 5 schools for the first half of the year. For the second half, scholarships totaling about 54 million KRW were given to 76 high school students and 1 university student, supporting a total of 197 students and 5 schools with approximately 280 million KRW this year.

Kim Gwang-yeol (Mayor of Yeongdeok-gun), the chairman, congratulated the recipients, saying, “I have no doubt that if you continue to actively challenge yourselves and grow in your respective positions, you will proudly establish yourselves as new talents in our region.”
