Special New Year Operations and Warm Benefits
Imjingak Peace Gondola will offer special operations and various benefits for visitors who want to enjoy the sunrise on New Year's Day 2025.
On January 1, 2025, the gondola operation will be moved forward to run from 9 AM to 6 PM for New Year's sunrise viewing. From 6 AM to 8 AM, gondola riders will receive a 50% discount on the fare, and all riders will be given free hot packs.
Also, to commemorate the large Christmas tree installed in front of the northern disembarkation area, a photo certification event will be held until December 31, 2024. Participants can join by uploading photos with designated hashtags on Instagram or by sending them via text message on their mobile phones.
Selected outstanding participants will receive prizes such as family restaurant gift certificates, cake, and coffee gift coupons.
Imjingak Peace Gondola is the first cable car facility in Korea to pass through the Civilian Control Line section, providing a special travel experience connecting the South and North while crossing the Imjin River.
