Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Selected as 'Best Policy' for Comprehensive Low Birthrate Overcoming Measures

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation recently received the Grand Prize for excellence in responsible management practices at the ‘2024 Gyeonggi-do Public Institutions Excellent Policies and Cases Presentation.’

The foundation previously announced the ‘2024 Comprehensive Measures to Overcome Low Birthrate,’ which includes the implementation of a flexible working hours system, the Gyeonggi-do Childcare Support System, the proactive application of the three government childcare support laws, and improvements to three major personnel systems to eliminate disadvantages in promotion, evaluation, and compensation.

In particular, it gained attention for being the first public institution to pilot the 0.5 and 0.75 job design systems.

Through this, it created the most family-friendly working environment among public institutions in the province and was recognized as a ‘model case of responsible management’ that realizes provincial government values.

Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "The low birthrate issue is a national challenge that requires responsible efforts from public institutions. The foundation will continue to expand family-friendly policies and actively contribute to solving social problems."
