Kakao Mobility announced on the 26th that it has published the 'Give Shuttle 2024' volunteer travel summary report.
Give Shuttle is a program that combines volunteering and travel. Users can access and participate in volunteer activity information through the Kakao T application they usually use. This year, it operated under five themes: ▲Cultural Heritage Protection ▲Ecological Species Protection ▲Social Enterprise Exploration ▲Rural Area Assistance ▲Support for Abandoned Animals.
According to the Give Shuttle 2024 volunteer travel summary report, a total of 262 volunteers participated this year, and 42% of them started volunteering through Give Shuttle. The program combined transportation services by providing free shuttles with a systematic volunteer program, and increased accessibility for those wishing to participate by allowing applications through the Kakao T app. The average satisfaction score after participation was 4.83 out of 5.
Based on the experience of operating Give Shuttle 2024, Kakao Mobility plans to design and operate a program with new themes next year. Until the 29th, an event called 'Suggest Volunteer Activity Themes for Give Shuttle 2025' is being held within the Kakao T app. Twenty people selected for the best ideas will receive a 2025 diary set made by upcycling firefighter suits actually worn by firefighters.
Along with this, an interactive content platform called Bangguseok Research Institute will introduce the '2024 Life’s Greatest Achievement Awards' test. By answering a total of nine questions, participants can test their tendencies and receive recommendations for the type of good deed award that suits them and the Give Shuttle theme, such as ▲Everyday Consideration ▲Small Happiness Peddler ▲Straight Pine Award ▲People Picker Retriever Award.
Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, said, "We will continue to strive to strengthen social responsibility by practicing various participatory social contribution activities like Give Shuttle."
