Consistent Sightings of Activities Abroad Since Release

Seungri, a key figure in the 'Burning Sun Gate' and former member of Big Bang, has been spotted active overseas, including in Southeast Asia, since his release from prison.

On the afternoon of the 24th, a video titled 'Shocking Recent Status of Former Big Bang Seungri' was uploaded on various online community boards. In the video, Seungri appears noticeably heavier. Unlike his slender physique during his time with Big Bang, he now has a robust build. A netizen who revealed Seungri's recent status added, "Seungri earns more money than G-Dragon." Netizens speculate that the event venue Seungri visited is either in Vietnam or Cambodia.

Seungri debuted in 2006 as a member of Big Bang under YG Entertainment but withdrew from the group in 2019 after being identified as a central figure in the 'Burning Sun Gate.' He was found guilty on all nine charges, including habitual gambling, prostitution, mediation of prostitution, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, violation of foreign exchange transactions law, violation of food sanitation law, embezzlement in the course of business, violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and instigation of special assault. He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and was released in February last year after serving his term.

Since his release, Seungri was spotted in January this year hosting an event at a restaurant in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and in the same month, a video of him singing Big Bang's 'Bang Bang Bang' at a Malaysian influencer's birthday party circulated online. Since then, he has been seen going to clubs with acquaintances, partying with Chinese-speaking stars who caused controversies over drug use allegations, visiting overseas clubs, and promoting Big Bang by saying he would "bring G-Dragon," all of which sparked controversies whenever his recent activities were revealed.

Meanwhile, news emerged at the end of August that Seungri would attend the 'Burning Sun Surabaya' event held at the Gentleman's Club in Surabaya, Indonesia. However, Seungri's side announced legal action, claiming that photos and his name were used without permission, and the organizers issued an apology and canceled the event. In an interview with domestic media at the time, Seungri expressed his frustration, saying, "I want to stay quiet, but my name keeps coming up," and added, "It's embarrassing that things that are not true have escalated this much. It's clearly nonsense," repeatedly conveying his exasperation.
