Singer Ryu Wonjeong Donates 5 Million Won to Hometown Love Donation Fund... "Drawing Strength from Thoughts of Hometown During Difficult Times"

Gyeongsan City (Mayor Jo Hyun-il) announced on the 26th that singer Ryu Won-jeong visited Gyeongsan City Hall and donated 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund, conveying her warm feelings for her hometown.


Ryu Won-jeong is from Jinryang-myeon, Gyeongsan City, and graduated from Jinseong Elementary School and Jinryang Middle School, showing a special affection for her hometown. She captivated audiences and viewers with her outstanding singing skills on many TV programs such as KBS's "Immortal Songs," "Gayo Stage," TV Chosun's "Tomorrow's Miss Trot 2," and "Active King of Songs." She has also established her position as a singer by releasing various albums including "Simji," "REBORN," and "Bokdeongi."

Ryu Won-jeong said, "Even during difficult times in Seoul, I was able to gain strength by thinking of my hometown Gyeongsan. I am very happy and grateful to be able to give back to my hometown now," adding, "I hope this donation will be a small help in the further development of Gyeongsan."


Mayor Jo Hyun-il responded, "Ryu Won-jeong's love for her hometown deeply moved all the citizens of Gyeongsan," and said, "We will support Ryu Won-jeong's future together with the citizens of Gyeongsan as she shines the city through her role as an ambassador and her donation activities."
