Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation Conducts 23rd Global Cultural Experience Program in China

The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on the 26th that it conducted the "23rd Mirae Asset Global Cultural Experience Group" in Shenzhen, China, from December 21 to 24.

The Global Cultural Experience Group is the foundation's flagship social contribution program designed to help youth develop an international perspective and global mindset by directly experiencing major overseas companies and cultures. This camp was attended by 90 youths selected from child welfare facilities nationwide, who explored China's advanced technology and urban development.

Camp participants completed pre-assignments under the theme "The Future We Envision," concretizing their visions and actively engaging in camp activities based on them.

After familiarizing themselves with the schedule during the orientation on the first day, the exploration activities officially began on the second day. Participants visited BYD, a global leader in electric vehicles and batteries, where they learned about electric vehicle technology and battery development at the exhibition hall and observed production process models and technology implementation cases to understand the practicality of advanced technology.

On the third day, participants split into teams to visit various companies. At the Baidu exhibition hall, they received explanations about autonomous driving technology and had the special experience of riding the autonomous robo-taxi, "Apollo Go." At Apotronics, they examined advanced display products such as laser digital cinema projectors and laser TVs, learning about the latest technology trends and application fields. At BGI, a world-renowned genome research institute, they listened to explanations about gene analysis technology and biotechnology research, enhancing their understanding of the life sciences field.

The foundation operates a team-based mentoring system composed of university student mentors to ensure that youth participants can safely and actively engage in exploration activities. Mentors not only support the exploration activities but also provide advice on career paths and visions, making the exploration experience more meaningful.

As the final event of the camp, an "Idea Presentation for Solving Sustainable Development Goals" was held. Participants concluded the camp by presenting creative ideas based on the knowledge and experiences gained during the exploration period.

A representative of the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation stated, "We hope this camp provided youth with an opportunity to directly experience innovative technology and urban development, fostering a global perspective on the future," and added, "We will continue to do our best to nurture future talents through various programs."

Since its inception in 2007, the Mirae Asset Global Cultural Experience Group has involved a total of 2,127 youths. In addition, the foundation supports the dreams and challenges of future generations through various social contribution projects such as overseas exchange scholarship programs and youth vision projects.
