"High Proportion of Subscription Customers for Refrigerators and Kimchi Refrigerators During Kimjang Season"

Among customers who purchased home appliances at Samsung Store, 3 out of 10 used Samsung Electronics' 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Subscription Club.'

Samsung Electronics announced on the 26th that the subscription sales ratio of home appliances sold at Samsung Store was 30% over the past three weeks since the 1st. Since the 1st, Samsung Electronics has been operating the 'AI Subscription Club' at all 168 Samsung Store locations nationwide and on Samsung.com.


Looking at the sales ratio, refrigerators accounted for 17%, washing machines 16%, and kimchi refrigerators 15%. The subscription rate for refrigerators was high, coinciding with the kimchi-making season.


Samsung Electronics explained that the subscription customer ratio increased thanks to lowering the purchase barrier by reducing the initial purchase cost and composing more than 90% of AI products. Offering various plans such as 'All-in-One' and 'Smart,' allowing customers to freely choose care services that fit their lifestyle, was also cited as a differentiating factor.


The All-in-One plan is a product that can selectively combine care services such as product, free repair service, visit care, and self-care. It can be used for up to 60 months by selecting the period with the dedicated 'AI Subscription Club Samsung Card.' Early termination is also possible.


The Smart plan is characterized by allowing consumers to select only the services they want along with product purchase. Free repair service and care services can be selected separately. The period can also be chosen between 36 months or 60 months. Benefits provided with a total of 14 partners, including Norangpungseon, Daemyung I'm Ready funeral service, Millie's Library, Shilla Duty Free, Everland, SK Broadband, CJ CheilJedang, and 7 other food companies, are also strengths.


Samsung Electronics plans to expand AI Subscription Club partners to strengthen consumer benefits.


Additionally, Samsung Electronics announced that it will hold the '2025 Samsung Electronics Sale Festa,' where consumers can purchase the latest AI home appliances reasonably with various benefits linked to the AI Subscription Club, until February 10 next year.


A Samsung Electronics official said, "We will continue to upgrade from AI Subscription Club products to plans, care services, and partnership benefits to lead the AI home appliance subscription market for improved consumer convenience."
