The Financial Services Commission announced on the 25th that it has paid a total of 194.4 million KRW in rewards for six reports of unfair trading in the capital market from February to this month.


Considering that the average annual total reward amount over the past 10 years was approximately 71.61 million KRW, this year's total payout has increased about 2.7 times compared to the past.


The reward amount per case also increased about 1.7 times, from the 10-year average of approximately 18.84 million KRW to 32.4 million KRW.


The Securities and Futures Commission under the Financial Services Commission was able to report and notify investigative agencies of three cases of unfair trading, two cases of market manipulation, and one case of insider trading based on reports from reward recipients.


Earlier, the Financial Services Commission improved the reward system by raising the reward payment limit for unfair trading in the capital market from 2 billion KRW to 3 billion KRW and increasing the standard reward amounts.


The Financial Services Commission stated, "To detect unfair trading in the capital market early and minimize damage to market participants, the financial authorities will continue to actively pay rewards."
