US Court Approves Request to Disclose BJ Gwajeupseyeon Information
Ppeokka Must Stand in Court to Oppose Personal Information Disclosure
The U.S. court has approved the provision of personal information regarding the 'Cyber Rekka' YouTuber 'Ppokka' (channel name 'PPKKa'), who operates while hiding their face. As a result, BJ Gwajeupseyeon (real name In Seyeon), who filed a defamation lawsuit against Ppokka, will be able to obtain related information about them.
According to a report by Seoul Wire on the 22nd, recently Gwajeupseyeon requested Google headquarters through the U.S. Northern District Court of California to provide the YouTube channel user's name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number, bank account number, and the last five access records to the YouTube account. The U.S. court approved part of this request on the 19th. Now, Gwajeupseyeon will receive the information excluding the YouTuber's bank account number.

The YouTuber whose information Gwajeupseyeon requested is presumed to be Ppokka. In August, Gwajeupseyeon was spotted with HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk in Beverly Hills, California, sparking various rumors. Ppokka also uploaded a content video on their YouTube channel containing claims that "Gwajeupseyeon engaged in sexual relations for monetary compensation and gambled in Las Vegas." In response, on September 4th, Gwajeupseyeon filed a defamation lawsuit at the Seoul Central District Court, stating that "due to these remarks, I have suffered social stigma, severe mental distress, and insomnia, and lost collaboration opportunities with YouTube channels, resulting in financial damage."
However, to file a lawsuit in a domestic court, the user's name, address, and date of birth must be known. Therefore, Gwajeupseyeon issued a subpoena to Google requesting this information. If Ppokka opposes the disclosure of their identity, they must appear in court. However, in court, they cannot hide their face and must appear under their real name, drawing attention as to whether their face will be revealed for the first time.
In August, Ppokka mocked women expressing concerns about deepfake sexual crimes as "making a fuss," which violated YouTube's creator guidelines and resulted in the suspension of their monetization activities.
