"Kim Geon-hee Acknowledged Military Cuisine"... Star Rating Attack on President Yoon's Personal Plastic Surgery Clinic

Comments such as 'Kim Geon-hee Visit Gyeom Restaurant' on KakaoMap and Others

On the day President Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law, suspicions arose that First Lady Kim Geon-hee visited a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul, which has since been bombarded with "review bombing" and protest comments.

News1 reported on the 24th, citing Kakao Map, that there are a total of 210 reviews on the plastic surgery clinic located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where Kim is alleged to have visited. All these reviews were posted after reports of Kim's visit to the clinic emerged.

However, it is unclear whether all the reviewers actually visited the clinic. Kakao Map allows users to write reviews without any separate verification process such as receipts or visit/payment records.

Most netizens gave the clinic a one-star rating, resulting in an overall rating of 1.2 stars. Comments included "The martial law hotspot recognized by Kim Geon-hee," "Is prison visit treatment also possible?" and "How did Kim Geon-hee make the payment?"

There are also calls urging the clinic director to make a conscience declaration. One netizen wrote, “Director, please make a conscience declaration. The woman who hid the fact that it was the day of martial law, made a reservation, and said she would come after the clinic shutter was down is crazy. She just asked for the procedure and got it done, so say you feel so wronged you can’t live.”

The clinic’s website was also blocked due to exceeding daily traffic limits. As the clinic’s name and director’s name spread through media reports and online communities, the number of visitors surged, making it difficult to access the site. Netizens also found the clinic’s official Instagram account and left protest comments. According to these, the clinic is presumed to specialize in facial lifting surgery.

Meanwhile, Jang Kyung-tae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed on the 23rd, "Kim Geon-hee entered the plastic surgery clinic at 6:25 p.m. on December 3, the day martial law was declared, and stayed there for three hours until 9:30 p.m., one hour before martial law was enforced." Jang explained that this information came from a witness’s testimony. He added, "The director of the plastic surgery clinic Kim visited was appointed as a presidential advisor in 2022," and "The clinic’s website still displays ‘Current Presidential Advisor of the Republic of Korea.’"

He continued, "The director could have been called to the Presidential Office or the official residence for the procedure, so why did she go directly to the clinic in Gangnam on the day of martial law?" and "It must be clearly revealed whether President Yoon Suk-yeol conspired martial law and whether Kim was present when instructions about martial law were given at the official residence."

In response, Yoon’s legal representative, lawyer Seok Dong-hyun, posted on Facebook on the 23rd, calling it a "revival of the tactics that gained traction with former President Park Geun-hye’s seven-hour Sewol ferry scandal and Blue House Viagra rumors," and dismissed it as "groundless rumors."
