The 2024 Regional Culture Promotion Policy Excellent Case contest was held in three categories?▲Culture Day ▲Living Culture Promotion ▲Regional Culture Professional Workforce Development?targeting metropolitan and basic local governments and affiliated public institutions nationwide. Among these, a total of four institutions, including the Chuncheon Cultural Foundation, were selected in the Living Culture Promotion category. In all three categories combined, 11 institutions were selected.

According to Chuncheon City, the Onse-dae Choir Festival began in 2016 with the purpose of sharing culture across generations and uniting through choir as part of living in Chuncheon, focusing on the rehearsal process involving all generations together rather than competition and awards.

This year’s Onse-dae Choir Festival was held for nine days from August 23 to 31, with a total of 3,147 participants from 97 choirs, and attracted 13,369 spectators, achieving great success.

The Onse-dae Choir Festival will begin recruiting participants in April next year. Afterwards, various programs such as busking performances and family choir presentations will be held throughout Chuncheon until the end of August, allowing more citizens to participate.
