Nam Gyeongmin Elected Co-Chairman... 25 Members Appointed to the Governance Cooperation Committee
Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced the launch of the ‘Hanam City Public-Private Cooperation Committee,’ which seeks solutions through regional opinion gathering on important administrative issues, public agenda discussions, and expert consultations.

On the 24th, Lee Hyun-jae, co-chairman and mayor of Hanam City, appointed 25 members of the Public-Private Cooperation Committee at the city hall situation room and held the ‘Public-Private Cooperation Committee Inauguration Ceremony.’
The inauguration ceremony included the presentation of appointment letters to the members, an explanation of the committee’s purpose and operational direction, and the election of officers.
Nam Kyung-min, a member from the old downtown area, was elected as co-chairman, and three vice-chairmen were elected by district: Hyun Gyo-tae for the Misa district, Choi Yong-guk for the Gam-il district, and Park Jae-hyung for the Wirye district. Together with Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, they will lead the committee for two years.
The ‘Public-Private Cooperation Committee’ is composed of resident representatives from each district, experts, city council members, and journalists, and will perform roles such as ▲gathering opinions and making policy decisions ▲implementation, evaluation, and feedback ▲review, coordination, and advisory functions for institutional improvements.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam City said, “The Public-Private Cooperation Committee was formed to gather consensus on the long-term policy direction Hanam City should take,” and urged the members to “freely propose opinions and ideas for Hanam’s development and jointly explore directions for progress.”
Meanwhile, the Public-Private Cooperation Committee plans to identify and discuss administrative issues and agendas every month and gradually expand citizens’ opportunities to participate in city administration through ordinance amendments.
