Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do has been selected as an outstanding local government in the Local Regulation Innovation Performance Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 100 million KRW. Last year, the county also received the Encouragement Award in the 'Regulation Reform Excellent City and County Evaluation' by Jeollanam-do.
According to Jangseong County on the 24th, the evaluation assesses the performance of local regulation innovation among 243 local governments nationwide and selects outstanding institutions.
The county has actively worked to identify unreasonable regulations throughout the year, including holding its own 'Regulation Improvement Idea Contest.' As a result, it received high scores for its efforts in regulatory improvement and implementation of the comprehensive regulatory plan, earning an 'Encouragement' grade.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "This is the result of our consistent efforts toward regulatory improvement. We will continue to do our best to ensure that no residents suffer from unreasonable regulations."
