Five Subcommittees to Be Formed for Future Activities
Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province will openly recruit members for the 9th Jeonju Youth Hope Group until the 15th of next month.
According to the city on the 24th, the Youth Hope Group is open to any young person interested in youth policy and willing to discuss ways to improve the lives of young people. The group will be active from February to October next year.
This recruitment is for 40 members, and applicants must be between 18 and 39 years old and reside in Jeonju, applying through the Jeonju Youth Online Platform.
The selected Youth Hope Group members will be organized into subcommittees based on five areas: planning and communication, employment policy, population policy, culture and education, and welfare. They will receive mentoring support from the Youth Policy Mentor Group, composed of policy experts, and are expected to develop effective youth policies.
The city plans to select outstanding policies through expert reviews so that policy ideas proposed by the Youth Hope Group can be implemented as youth policies. These will be thoroughly reviewed by relevant departments and actively reflected in municipal administration.
A city official stated, "Continuous communication and policy proposal activities with Youth Hope Group members from the 1st to the 8th terms have greatly contributed to making Jeonju a city of hope for young people," and added, "We hope for the enthusiastic participation of many passionate and capable young people in discovering youth policies and revitalizing youth activities."
