Recruitment of 3rd Resident Artists for Goyang City Art Creation Spaces Haum and Saedeul

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 24th that it is recruiting resident artists (3rd term) for the 2025 art creation spaces ‘Haeum’ and ‘Saedeul’.

The residency is open to any domestic visual artists who continue their creative activities, with specific recruitment conditions varying by space and type.

First, ‘Haeum,’ an urban residency located in Janghang-dong within Ilsan Lake Park, will select ▲ 5 general-type artists (all fields of visual arts) and ▲ 3 active-type artists (planning and executing educational experience programs).

‘Saedeul’ in Sinpyeong-dong, remodeled from a military barracks, focuses on supporting artists engaged in activities based on regional research and will recruit 4 artists, the same as last year.

Artists selected as residents of ‘Saedeul’ must present the projects they researched during their residency at Saedeul, and both artists and planners are eligible to apply. Both ‘Haeum’ and ‘Saedeul’ give additional points during document screening to artists from Goyang City.

Selected applicants through the review process will carry out residency activities at each creative space from March 2025 to February 2026.
