On the 24th, after concluding a party meeting at the National Assembly, Kwon told reporters that in response to the comment, "There are voices within the party calling for reform," he said, "Reform cannot be achieved when the party is unstable." He added, "The most important part of stability is party unity. How can we change the party when there is no unity and the party is unstable?" and further stated, "In that regard, I believe harmony, stability, and reform within the party are all necessary."

Regarding the issue of President Yoon Seok-yeol's withdrawal from the party, which was pushed by former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, Kwon said, "I have personally expressed my opinion, but that is a personal view, and the opinions of lawmakers and party members should be gathered to make a decision." On the 13th, Kwon had claimed that the party's Central Ethics Committee's initiation of disciplinary procedures such as expulsion or dismissal of President Yoon was "very cowardly and unjust."

Additionally, Kwon stated that he is not considering an early presidential election due to President Yoon's impeachment. He said, "The Constitutional Court has not yet made a decision, and didn't the Election Commission once make a strange decision based on the premise of an early election and then reverse it?" He added, "Now is not the time to think about the presidential election; the most important thing is to consider what we must do for our party to be reborn as a party trusted by the people."

Kwon, nominated as the Emergency Response Committee Chairperson, is expected to be officially appointed to the position as early as the 30th after approval by the Standing National Committee and the National Committee.
