"Mrs. Kim Stayed 3 Hours at Plastic Surgery Clinic on Martial Law Day"
After Suspicion Raised, Map App Faces 'Rating Terrorism'
Critical Comments Continue on Hospital's Official SNS
Amid allegations that First Lady Kim Geon-hee visited a plastic surgery clinic on the day President Yoon Seok-yeol declared martial law, netizens have been leaving malicious comments and low ratings at the clinic reportedly involved.
According to the Kakao Map application on the 24th, a plastic surgery clinic located in Seoul received one-star ratings along with protest comments from netizens. As of 11 a.m., the average rating was 1.1 stars, and the number of reviews sharply increased from the 23rd, the day the allegations about Kim’s visit were reported. Commenters left messages such as "The place Kim Geon-hee (First Lady) visited on the day of martial law," "What did Kim Geon-hee (First Lady) do for three hours?" and "We ask the director for a conscience declaration."
Moreover, critical comments continued on the clinic’s official social media accounts. Netizens wrote malicious remarks like "Martial law or not, your priority is plastic surgery," and "Why don’t you promote post-procedure reviews?"
Earlier, on the 23rd, Jang Kyung-tae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, held a press conference at the National Assembly, stating, "We reveal traces of First Lady Kim Geon-hee on the day of martial law," and claimed, "According to a tip from a witness, Kim Geon-hee stayed at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul from 6:25 p.m. for about three hours on the 3rd."
Jang said, "We ask Kim Geon-hee: You could have called the clinic director to the Presidential Office or the official residence for the procedure, so why did you personally visit a hospital in Gangnam on the day of martial law?" He added, "The fact that she left the clinic exactly one hour before the martial law was declared suggests that civilian Kim Geon-hee might have been aware of the martial law in advance." He emphasized, "It must be clearly revealed whether President Yoon conspired to declare martial law and whether Kim Geon-hee was present at the official residence when instructions about martial law were given."
