Omiseop, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Receives 'Local Legislative Service Award'

Contribution to Community Development Achievement

Oh Miseop, a member of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 24th that he received the 'Local Legislative Service Award' from the Gwangju Autonomous District Council Chairpersons' Association in recognition of his contributions to the development of local legislation through his legislative activities.

The Local Legislative Service Award is given in recognition of contributions to the development of local legislation through a strong sense of duty and volunteer spirit as a council member, as well as contributions to community development through service for residents.

Councilor Oh has actively carried out legislative activities such as supporting youth preparing for independence, strengthening gender equality policies, expanding support policies for North Korean defectors, promoting the use of reusable containers as part of carbon reduction policies, and creating local linked jobs.

Councilor Oh said, “This award is meaningful because it is given by fellow council members with whom I carry out legislative activities together,” and added, “I will continue to cooperate and communicate with local residents and council members to carry out legislative activities for the development of the local community.”
