The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency delivered a written inquiry through his lawyer on the same day, but Kim's side reportedly responded that they "refuse to provide a collective statement."

Currently, former Minister Kim is in custody, and the prosecution has secured his detention. The prosecution reportedly indicated in the afternoon that an investigation would be possible in response to the police's request for cooperation.

Former Minister Kim was one of the 12 attendees at the Cabinet meeting held five minutes before the declaration of martial law. The police have completed investigations of all attendees except President Yoon Seok-youl and former Minister Kim.
