The meeting was attended by about 50 people, including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, Lee Hong-gyun, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of the local business association, and heads of city departments and offices.
The city listened directly to the difficulties of local businesses, discussed practical support measures to resolve them, and shared the city’s policy directions.
The main discussion topics included △ Wangsuk Urban High-tech Industrial Complex △ Explanation of major support policies for livelihood economy recovery △ Creation of business relocation complexes △ Operation of a 365-day business difficulty resolution task force △ Measures to revitalize small business owners.
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, “I deeply appreciate the businesspeople who contribute to the development of the local economy despite the still difficult economic situation,” adding, “We will continue to actively support making Namyangju a ‘business-friendly city’ through sincere communication, and we will overcome the crisis by demonstrating imagination, the highest creativity, and flexibility.”
Namyangju City plans to actively reflect the business difficulties suggested at this meeting in city administration, further strengthen customized support such as efforts to improve regulations on business activities and prioritize handling business complaints, and continuously promote policies for a virtuous cycle of the local economy.
