This project was promoted to resolve the inconvenience citizens experience when confirming addresses and to improve the deterioration of urban aesthetics caused by old building number plates.
Many old building number plates have faded colors or are damaged, causing inconvenience for citizens in locating places.
Accordingly, since May, the city prioritized replacing severely damaged old building number plates within Ilsanseo-gu.
With this replacement, not only has the readability of the building number plates improved, but the urban landscape has also transformed into a more organized appearance.
A Goyang Special City official stated, “This replacement project is meaningful in resolving daily inconveniences for citizens and improving the city’s image. We will continue to thoroughly maintain address information facilities to provide better services to citizens.”
Meanwhile, the city also announced plans to sequentially repair and replace building number plates in Ilsandong-gu and Deogyang-gu, and to focus on long-term management through regular inspections and maintenance of the replaced building number plates.
