Namwon City Begins Full-Scale Distribution of 'Welfare Safety 119 App'

Providing Five Key Features Including Help Request

Namwon City in Jeollabuk-do is officially launching the 'Namwon Welfare Safety 119 App', which enables citizens to request help anytime and anywhere.

According to the city on the 23rd, the Welfare Safety 119 App provides five main features: ▲Emergency Rescue 119 ▲Help Request ▲Safety Report ▲Safety Map ▲Safety Guidelines. These features allow citizens to easily request help or report emergencies regardless of time and place.

The 'Emergency Rescue 119' feature is designed so that, in case of a health emergency, the app automatically connects to '119' and simultaneously sends a help request text message to an emergency contact network (such as guardians or acquaintances), enabling swift assistance.

The 'Help Request' feature allows citizens to request assistance in situations such as livelihood, medical, housing, or other crises without visiting the administrative welfare center. Through this function, the city aims to identify and support households in crisis within the community.

Additionally, the app supports safe response to risks and disasters by providing a 'Safety Report' feature for reporting dangerous locations, abuse, or suicide risks in the area, a 'Safety Map' that offers information about nearby public institutions, hospitals, and pharmacies, and a 'Safety Guidelines' video playback feature.

Mayor Choi Kyungshik stated, "The distribution of the 'Namwon Welfare Safety 119' app is an important first step in strengthening the system that enables citizens to receive prompt assistance in crisis situations," and added, "We will continue to build a more robust welfare safety net so that everyone can live in Namwon with peace of mind."
