The training was organized under the theme ‘In an Era of Isolation, Appropriate Community Care Measures for Isolated Households.’
It especially included lectures aimed at enhancing professional skills and a healing program consisting of a musical performance to help social welfare workers relieve stress and achieve psychological stability.
Mayor Park Hyeong-deok of Dongducheon said in his greeting, “I sincerely thank the social welfare facility and institution workers who are quietly working in challenging social welfare environments,” adding, “I hope this training will greatly help enhance the workers’ capabilities and relieve their stress.”
Meanwhile, the lecture and healing program are expected to provide an opportunity for public and private social welfare workers to understand each other’s duties and roles and strengthen their bonds, which will greatly contribute to establishing a more solid cooperative system between the public and private sectors in the future.
