Gangnam Healing Center to Recruit Students for 80 Courses Starting from the 23rd

Courses Offered on Exercise, Mind, Relationships, and Eating Habits

Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will open about 80 new courses for 2025 at the Gangnam Healing Center and begin recruiting students from the 23rd.

The Gangnam Healing Center operates in two locations, COEX and Gaepo-dong, offering specialized programs focused on four healing themes: exercise, mind, relationships, and eating habits. Following last year, it has received high acclaim with approximately 100,000 users this year as well.

Based on the satisfaction survey conducted last September, the district added new courses reflecting residents' opinions. In addition, instructors selected through a highly competitive recruitment process were invited to further enhance expertise.

The new courses are systematically organized around the four major themes: exercise habits, mind habits, relationship habits, and eating habits. The ‘exercise habits’ courses include programs that help restore health and correct body movements such as yoga, Pilates, SNPE (posture correction exercise), Ballet Fit, and Alexander Technique. The ‘mind habits’ courses offer psychological healing classes like singing bowl meditation and art meditation aimed at relieving stress and depression.

The ‘relationship habits’ courses provide aromatherapy, color therapy, and other programs for healthy relationships with family, friends, and neighbors, while the ‘eating habits’ courses focus on learning healthy eating habits such as detox diets.

At the COEX Center, which has many office workers, customized courses such as yoga, Ballet Fit, and fragrance therapy during lunchtime are newly introduced for working professionals. The Gaepo Center has increased the number of students in popular existing courses like SNPE, Ballet Fit, Good Ball, Hula, and Korean dance, and extended the class time of workshop courses focused on relationship building from 50 minutes to 80 minutes to create a more in-depth learning environment. Additionally, specialized meditation courses using the five senses, such as painting, handpan (musical instrument), and aromatherapy, have been prepared.

Besides regular courses, special programs such as guest lectures by notable figures in the first and second halves of the year, one-day special lectures, cultural arts videos, and independent film screenings are also planned.

Course registration is available from 9 a.m. on the 23rd of even-numbered months. Applications can be submitted online via the Gangnam Healing Center mobile app and the Gangnam-gu integrated reservation site, or in person at the center.

District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “Every year, we present systematic and specialized healing programs reflecting residents’ opinions. Going forward, we will continue to create a happier Gangnam by offering healing courses that help recover from stress and improve quality of life close to home without having to travel far.”
