Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who created the Netflix drama series 'Squid Game,' made headlines by saying in an interview with the U.S. media, "I'm so sick of 'Squid Game'" (I'm so sick of 'Squid Game').
On the 19th (local time), Variety, a major Hollywood media outlet, published an article titled "How Netflix Became a Business Empire, and Why Its Creator Jokes About Being 'Sick of Squid Game'." According to the article, Director Hwang said, "The entire process of writing, producing, and directing this series was so exhausting that I had no intention of making a second season," but also revealed, "The tremendous success of Season 1 gave me the courage and motivation to create additional seasons." He also mentioned that he is ready to take a long break once the post-production of Squid Game Season 3, scheduled for release next year, is completed.
