Improving Treatment of Care Workers and Contributions to Senior Policies

Park Mijeong, a member of the Gwangju City Council (Democratic Party of Korea, Dong-gu 2), announced on the 21st that she received a plaque of appreciation at the "2024 Gwangju Social Welfare Council Performance Report Conference" held recently at Gwangju JS Wedding Convention, in recognition of her contributions to improving the treatment of care workers and senior welfare policies.
The event was organized to evaluate and share the achievements of projects promoted by the Gwangju Social Welfare Council in cooperation with partner organizations, and to discover and reward individuals who have worked hard and dedicated themselves to the cause.
Kim Younggi, President of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council, said, "Council member Park Mijeong has devoted herself to serving citizens and the development of the region," adding, "We presented the plaque of appreciation to encourage her efforts and to express the gratitude and appreciation of Gwangju citizens."
Park emphasized, "As we approach a super-aged society, improving the treatment of care workers is a crucial task for advancing the senior care system," and added, "I will continue to work towards establishing a dense welfare network in the local community."
She continued, "I am grateful to everyone who is devotedly working in the field of welfare," and added, "I will work together with those on the front lines to address welfare blind spots."
