Busan Office of Education Announces Personnel Appointments for 671 Local Government Officials

127 Promotions, 279 Transfers, 83 Leaves and Returns, 61 New Hires, etc.

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced the local government personnel appointments effective January 1, 2025, on the 20th.

The personnel appointments include a total of 671 people: 127 promotions, 279 transfers, 83 leaves and reinstatements, and 61 new appointments. Among the promotions, there are 26 at grade 5, 57 at grade 6, 41 at grade 7, and 3 at grade 8.

This personnel appointment minimized changes for grade 4 and above, focusing mainly on transfers related to the advanced management course dispatch, and carried out promotions and transfers mainly for grade 5 and below.

The grade 5 promotion appointees include a total of 26 people in the education administration, computer, and facilities fields. Suitable candidates were assigned comprehensively considering the characteristics of the institution and individual job capabilities.

The 61 new appointees are candidates who passed the final examination in August and underwent practical training from October to December. They will be appointed effective January 1 next year, considering their residence and preferred work locations.

Kim Jang-hoon, Director of General Affairs at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “Personnel appointments within the headquarters are conducted based on ability and performance, and appointments for school and affiliated institution staff applied the ‘Local Government Personnel Transfer Scoring System Implementation Plan’ to ensure objectivity and fairness.”
