Daejin University Holds Graduation Ceremony for the 3rd Daejin Noblesse Golf Academy Course

The '3rd Daejin Noblesse Golf Academy course,' organized by the Industry-Academia Capability Development Institute of Daejin University, held its graduation ceremony on the 19th at the International Seminar Room of Daejin University. The event was attended by about 20 people, including Choi Kyung-sook, Dean of the College of Future Lifelong Education Convergence at Daejin University, Kim Hu-nyeon, the course director, and key local business leaders, the university announced on the 20th.

The event proceeded with the introduction of guests, presentation of completion plaques, merit awards, and special awards, the awarding of trophies to the winners of the ‘Daejin University President’s Cup Golf Tournament’ held on November 21 at Cham Valley CC, and congratulatory speeches from internal and external guests.


Choi Kyung-sook, Dean of the College of Future Lifelong Education Convergence at Daejin University, said, “I am grateful to have the opportunity to connect and work together with those leading our society through the Daejin Noblesse Golf Academy curriculum. I hope we will continue to undertake meaningful work that can revitalize our school and the local community.”


The course, conducted over three months from September to December 2024, had a total of 15 graduates. At the event, Kim Hu-nyeon, professor of the College of Future Lifelong Education Convergence and the course director, stated, “It is moving to see over 60 people from the 1st to 3rd cohorts of the Daejin Noblesse Golf Academy working alongside Daejin University with the spirit of noblesse oblige, sharing social responsibility. I hope this will continue in the future.”


Meanwhile, the ‘Daejin Noblesse Golf Academy,’ in cooperation with the Korea Professional Golf Leaders Association (KPGLA), aims to promote social responsibility and health improvement among citizens through the development of sports promotion in the northern Gyeonggi region. The 4th course is scheduled to begin in March 2025 and will be held every Thursday. The course will be closely taught by top domestic professional golfers, including Professor Kim Hu-nyeon (Dean of the College of Future Lifelong Education Convergence and current head of the KPGLA Gyeonggi regional headquarters), professional golfer Ahn Hee-su (KLPGA full member), Kwak Hee-geon (KPGA full member), and Jeon Hyung-seok (KPGA full member), covering authentic golf theory and practical methods.


Additionally, graduates of this course will be given the opportunity to obtain a golf teaching professional license issued by KPGLA.
