The Child Rights Protection Agency conducts the 'Child Rights Protection Agency-University Linkage Activation Project' every year, in which individual students or teams from universities nationwide participate. The project involves analyzing the main projects of the Child Rights Protection Agency linked to their major curricula, devising ways to activate child welfare projects, promotion strategies, and deriving analysis results.
On the 13th, students from nine universities across the country participated in the '2024 University Linkage Activation Project Results Evaluation Meeting' held in the large conference room on the 6th floor of the Child Rights Protection Agency in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The participating students presented ideas for child welfare projects linked to their respective major curricula, solutions to problems in the main projects of the Child Rights Protection Agency, and promotion strategies, engaging in a heated competition.
The students from Silla University’s Department of Social Welfare?Ki Myung-jun, Kim Yu-mi, Yang So-yeon, Kim Min-gi, Lee Seung-eun, Kim Seo-yeon, and Jang Seung-young?formed a team and proposed solutions and promotion strategies on the theme of 'Child Abuse Prevention,' achieving the Excellence Award.
Ki Myung-jun, a student from Silla University’s Department of Social Welfare who received the Excellence Award, said, “Through participating in this project, I learned a lot about child abuse prevention, realized the importance of child rights, and felt a sense of responsibility and mission regarding child abuse prevention. Thanks to the cooperation of my team members and the advice of our supervising professor, we were able to achieve the Excellence Award. I will continue to grow as a practitioner with deeper interest in the field of child welfare.”
Professor Jung Soo-jung of Silla University’s Department of Social Welfare stated, “This program is very meaningful in that students deeply understood child rights protection and derived practical ideas that can be applied in the field. I am very proud of our students who achieved excellent results on the theme of child abuse prevention, and I hope this will serve as an important foundation for their growth as future child welfare experts and contribute to the development of the child welfare field.”
